BENYLIN Dry & Tickly Cough Syrup is designed to alleviate the irritating sensation in your throat that triggers a dry, tickly cough. This non-drowsy formula combines glycerol and sucrose to soothe the throat, helping you get back to your daily activities without discomfort. Suitable for adults and children aged 1 year and over, this syrup is particularly beneficial for those suffering from dry coughs with no mucus or phlegm. The syrup also includes natural flavors such as aniseed and liquorice for a pleasant taste. It’s important to note that this product contains small amounts of alcohol (ethanol) and propylene glycol, making it safe but requiring caution for individuals with specific dietary restrictions or intolerances.

Directions for Use

For oral use only. Do not exceed the stated dose shown. If you forget a dose, give the next dose when needed. Do not give a double dose.

Adults and children over 5 years: Take two 5 ml spoonfuls 3 or 4 times per day, if needed.

Children (1-5 years): Take one 5 ml spoonful 3 or 4 times per day, if needed.

Do not take more than 4 doses in 24 hours. If symptoms persist, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. Not to be given to children under 1 year.

Active ingredients: Glycerol (0.75ml), Sucrose (1.707g per 5ml).

Other ingredients: Citric acid monohydrate, Sodium benzoate (E211), Cough syrup 513277 flavour (contains anise oil, liquorice, propylene glycol (E1520), ethanol), Black treacle, Liquid glucose, Purified water.

Allergen Information

This product contains Sodium benzoate (E211).

Product Warnings:

Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. This product contains 1.85 g glucose and 1.71 g sucrose in each 5 ml, which may be harmful to the teeth. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before using this medicine. This should be taken into account in patients with diabetes.
