Detailed Product Description

CALPOL Sugar Free Infant Suspension is a strawberry-flavoured syrup designed to provide soothing relief from pain and fever in infants and young children aged 2 months to 6 years. This sugar-free formulation is ideal for treating a variety of symptoms, including fever, post-immunisation fever, cold and flu symptoms, teething discomfort, headaches, sore throats, earaches, and other minor aches and pains. The syrup is easy to administer using the syringe provided, ensuring accurate dosing and effective relief.

Preparation and Usage

This product is for oral use only. Shake the bottle for at least 10 seconds before use. Use the syringe supplied with the pack for accurate dosing. Do not exceed the recommended dosage. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor.

Dosage:

• Children aged 2-3 months: 2.5 ml. If necessary, after 4-6 hours, give a second 2.5 ml dose. Do not give more than 2 doses. Only give if the baby weighs over 4 kg and was born after 37 weeks.
• Children aged 3-6 months: 2.5 ml up to 4 times a day.
• Children aged 6-24 months: 5 ml up to 4 times a day.
• Children aged 2-4 years: 7.5 ml (5 ml + 2.5 ml) up to 4 times a day.
• Children aged 4-6 years: 10 ml (5 ml + 5 ml) up to 4 times a day.

Leave at least 4 hours between doses and do not give more than 4 doses in 24 hours. Do not use for more than 3 days without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.

Ingredients 

Active Ingredients: PARACETAMOL.
Other Ingredients: Contains Maltitol liquid, Sorbitol solution (70% non-crystallising) (E420), Glycerol, Microcrystalline cellulose and carmellose sodium, Xanthan gum, Ethyl parahydroxybenzoate (E214), Methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), Propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216), Polysorbate 80, Strawberry flavour (containing propylene glycol (E1520) and benzyl alcohol), Carmoisine (E122), Purified water.

Product Warnings

Contains paracetamol. Avoid giving other paracetamol-containing products simultaneously. Seek immediate medical attention if an overdose is suspected, even if the child appears well.
