IMODIUM Capsules are designed to offer symptomatic relief from diarrhoea, providing quick and effective treatment for both short-term diarrhoea and episodes linked to Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). Each capsule contains 2mg of the active ingredient Loperamide Hydrochloride, which works by slowing down the movement of the gut, leading to more water being absorbed from the stools. This results in firmer stools and less frequent bowel movements. The capsules are easy to swallow and are intended for oral use. While IMODIUM helps manage symptoms, it is important to remember that it is not a substitute for rehydration therapy.

Directions for Use

For oral use only. For short-term diarrhoea, adults and children over 12 should take 2 capsules initially, followed by 1 capsule after each loose bowel movement, up to a maximum of 6 capsules per day. For IBS-related diarrhoea, adults aged 18 and over should start with 2 capsules, then take 1 capsule after each loose bowel movement, or as advised by a doctor, up to 6 capsules per day. Do not use for more than 48 hours for one episode. Consult a doctor if symptoms persist for more than 48 hours or if they change or worsen.
